I have not posted any photos for a month and a half! I’ve been so busy this summer with work, wedding planning, and yes a few photo sessions, I’ve neglected twigs&things. But I am back and with summer coming to an end I think my latest shoot is fitting! I had such fun with these two! Jonathan and Emily are siblings and if you hangout with them for a few hours like I had the pleasure of doing, you’ll find out quickly that they are also the best of friends! I hope you like the photos as much as I do!
On the 29th of April Bruce and I spent a “spontaneous” day together doing many things we love! We first went into Joburg to buy film for Bruces old pentax (I cant wait to see how the pictures turned out), then to a thrift store down the road where Bruce bought me a few articles of clothing, then off to Ant Cafe’ in Melville which is a rad place to have lunch, there is so much to look at and food that is to die for! I ended up taking a few pictures while we were there! After all of that Bruce had set up that we were to meet his sister Jacqui at the Botanical Gardens in Ruimsig, she was running “late” so when we reached the waterfall and still no sign of Jacs, Bruce and I decided to climb to the top. Once at the top we climbed onto a large rock and while Bruce went to fetch his camera I snapped a photo of the view, I glanced back and there was Bruce with a small box in his hand, he got down on one knee and said “Denae, will you be my wife?” and my response was “Of course!” I through my arms around him and gave him a kiss! I then looked down and saw the most beautiful ring that Bruce designed for me. I am seriously so blessed! I can not wait to marry Bruce Mardon, he is everything I have ever prayed for and more! I love this man so much! Our relationship has been a crazy adventure, a story only God could write! We are walking with faith towards our future, happy, and secure in the plans the Lord has for us!
-Little did I know I was capturing a day to be remembered-
My boyfriend Bruce and I had the pleasure of staying with his sister Nicole and brother in law Marc for two months in Ballito SA. I fell in love with their family of six and Nicole’s moto “live simply, simply live” Nicole is a brilliant photographer, blogger, doula, teacher, wife, and mother! I don’t know how she is able to make her life look so effortless but she does! I have quite a few photos from my stay with them, but I thought I’d first share a impromptu photo shoot I had with Nicole and her youngest Emmeline on the beach.
